In May 2025, Acumen Dental Academy hosted an insightful series of lectures tailored for dental professionals, with three engaging sessions aimed at enhancing everyday clinical practices.

Basic Photography & Shade Matching for Everyday Dentistry with Dr. Ryan Tse

Dr. Tse's 1.5-hour lecture emphasized the importance of clear clinical photography and accurate shade matching. Participants learned practical techniques to enhance documentation, communication with labs, and exam preparation. The session also introduced modern tools such as Polar_eyes, eLab, and Matisse AI, equipping attendees with additional resources for their workflows.

Change Your Mindset: Examination, Data Collection, and Treatment Planning with Dr. Sandra Hulac

Dr. Hulac presented foundational principles derived from the Kois Centre's teachings, advocating for a shift in clinical mindset regarding examination and treatment planning. Using a real patient case, participants explored systematic approaches to documentation and diagnosis aimed at achieving predictable, evidence-based treatment outcomes.

Implant Planning: The Digital Way with Dr. Edward Tam

Dr. Tam discussed the impact of the digital revolution on implant placement, emphasizing the enduring importance of understanding basic principles, case selection, and timing. Attendees gained insights into effective implant planning tools.
